Raffles Quay Asset Management (RQAM), the manager of Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC) and One Raffles Quay (ORQ), today announced that Mr Warren Bishop will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from Mr Wilson Kwong, effective 1 April 2012.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr Bishop was CEO at Tradeport, Hongkong Land's joint venture logistics centre at Hong Kong International Airport. Mr Bishop joined Jardine Matheson & Co. in 1994 and brings with him almost 18 years of management experience in a range of senior executive positions in the Group's engineering, motor trading and airport services-related companies.
In his new role, Mr Bishop will focus on managing MBFC and ORQ, which comprises a total of almost 4.5 million square feet of prime Grade A office and retail space and 649 luxury apartments, located in the heart of the new Marina Bay financial district. Mr Bishop said, "Under Wilson's leadership, the RQAM team has established MBFC and ORQ as a symbol of business and financial excellence in Singapore. I look forward to working with the RQAM team and joint venture partners to continue and further that success, and wish Wilson the very best as he transfers to a new role in Jardines in Hong Kong."
Mr Kwong joined RQAM in May 2008. During his tenure, Mr Kwong saw the successful completion of Phase 1 of MBFC, where office Towers 1 & 2; Phase 1 of Marina Bay Link Mall (MBLM); and Marina Bay Residences were fully leased or sold ahead of completion. Mr Kwong also took a leading role in the development of Phase 2 which includes office Tower 3, Phase 2 of MBLM and Marina Bay Suites. It has been targeted for MBFC Tower 3 to achieve its Temporary Occupation Permit in 1Q 2012.
